Dr. Dormer is one of the pioneers in biomedical nanotechnology applications in the Oklahoma. His research effort is centered on a collaborative network that includes bioengineering groups on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus, nanoparticle chemistry at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, an active otology research group at the Hough Ear Institute of Oklahoma City and a nanotechnology industry venture based in Oklahoma City (NanoBioMagnetics, Inc.). In addition, Dr. Dormer collaborates with Dr.
Preparation of the M.S.or Ph.D. physiologist today is optimally, multidisciplinary in order to qualify for breadth of job markets in medical research institutions, teaching colleges or biomedical corporations. Physiology, the integrative discipline in biomedical sciences, bridges molecular, cellular and systems approaches with such disciplines as medicine, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology and biomedical engineering.
